large copper (Lycaena dispar)

Approaching autumn and butterflies wanes. Some species just about this time of the easiest to find. Wandering along the edge of the woods looking for mushrooms, but also watched the insects. I saw a few, but they flew and waited some time to take a photo. Several attempts are unsuccessful as usual, until one of them calmly gave up approaches. Rather it was a good place, too much was in the background of grass and other plants. The light was sufficient for photos. Here is my large copper (Lycaena dispar) - female.

Queen of Spain fritillary (Issoria lathonia)

Similar to the butterfly butterfly in the previous post. The color and pattern, but after careful examination are different. It can check with macro both species. In nature, rather it is impossible to simultaneously watching them. Butterflies are almost constantly on the move and to compare this does not make sense. We have a fairly significant amount of butterflies in determining which no doubt. This species requires a thorough look at the best both sides of the wings, but this is not always possible. Here's my butterfly 2 photos. More I could not do, because flew high up among the trees.

about butterflies in August

In August, some species of butterflies end of their life, but others only appear. Some time ago I published photos of butterflies in their full glory, but now, when exactly they look, the wings often lose their intense color and are worn. It is worth to know the time of occurrence of the species in nasym environment. I think that it affects the weather during the spring and summer. When it is rainy or windy it is difficult to see any butterfly. When it is sunny and no wind, it is the best time to photograph butterflies.
The first two pictures are scarce copper (Lycaena virgaureae) - male
next, it the large white (Pieris brassicae)
, another is small skipper (Thymelicus sylvestris)
the last two, the Sooty Copper (Lycaena tityrus) - male

my new butterfly species

Although several years photographing butterflies in my area, it is again encountered a new species to my modest collection of butterflies. It is Lasiommata megera, the wall brown, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae (subfamily Satyrinae). I have already met him, but I managed to photograph him. This time also I had little time to take pictures and butterfly flew away. In this area I encountered some other butterflies and moths but about them in the next post.

tiny and beautiful

Next butterfly to me is very nice. It is scarce copper (Lycaena virgaureae). The bright red color results in that, despite the small size is visible from a distance. Fly like the wandering flame on a green background. If you try to wait patiently always squat somewhere and be photographed. For several years, I meet this genre and always doing him a picture. I usually males of the species. This one met in the forest before noon.

new species to my collection

Yesterday, after heavy rains during the week we went to the forest to pick mushrooms. I took a camera. We have found in the woods a lot of young brown ring boletus, several field and birch bolete mushroom. In many places, I met many butterflies. Despite the fact that the equipment was not adequate and there was a lot of time, I managed to take pictures of some of them. To begin with, a new species of butterfly to my collection, this pearl-bordered fritillary (Boloria Euphrosyne). In the next post I will present next.
