Robin and severe winter

With sewage treatment plant flows a stream of warm water. At the same stream during the icy wind and a temperature of about -17 degrees I noticed a tiny bird - robin. These birds fly away in the fall, and this one was and trying to survive the very harsh winter. It was difficult to photograph, because they hide among the dry stalks of weeds and bushes. It was the only place where he could still be alive.

sudden return of winter

We have an interesting weather this winter. There was no frost or snow until January 14. Earth was not frozen, the verdant grass, and even some flowers bloomed. There was a very short-lived snow for three days from December 5.You can see how the landscape looked even 11 January.
Suddenly, it snowed, and then grabbed frost. Nagging wind intensifies the feeling of coolness. The photos were taken just before sunset Jan. 19. It was going to be another frosty day with the temperature below 12 degrees Celsius.

my first post this year

My best wishes for New Year to all who look it here, as it is the first post in this year.

This year, it wasn't the winter weather. No snow and frost from autumn is remarkable. This is the autumn landscape. We go for walks, even in bad weather. We bring binoculars, a camera sometimes. We meet very occasionally birds, but roe deers encounter almost every time. Sometimes they are quite close. Near the river you can always see one flock, but often several. Here are some pictures from the last walk.
