Tomorrow is the last day of the year, which is pompously farewell worldwide.The very nature of this fact not to notice. Pets in cities experiencing this last evening strongly stressed because of fireworks and firecrackers. in my environment there is no sign of winter was similar last year, only a fairly sizable frost. In the vicinity of human settlements is currently a lot of birds using the feeding by humans. The last in my deed at the end of this year was to make a new feeder for the birds, which hung nearby. Today we have the winter solstice and begins the day we arrive. Aura does not indicate that we have winter. Snow is not all. Today, after several foggy and dark days, the sun came out. I did not refuse myself the pleasure to go to a nearby forest. Although we have clean air in our region, but in a forest it is saturated with scents of trees and undergrowth. Using staying in the forest I did 2 birch broom, which are very useful for small snowfall. I think it still will be white. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Photographing nature for several years I see changes in our fauna. This year, in December, I watched only a few species of birds. For several years, I have not seen waxwings our guests from the far north. Also, so common in our deer I see rarely and only in amounts of not more like 3-4. Mild winter with a small amount of snow is not the first time, and particularly in December. A little sad when wandering through the forest can not see even a single bird. season started, but for how long

I mean the season for hiking on skis after the close neighborhood. This way of communing with nature is very attractive, if weather conditions are favorable. With that in recent years we frequented differently. Last winter, it was a period of only two weeks. Today the conditions were good, the temperature is about -2 degrees, and snow still little, but you can find places where fun to ride. Today's first outing on skis was short, just before sunset. I hope more such days. I remember one winter when the ski season started early, in the last days of November, but unfortunately in December and throughout the winter there was the possibility of setting skis.
