The western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava)
Since childhood I know the Wagtail. Already in early spring, even on ice floes can meet this modestly feathered bird. Wagtail is extremely busy searching for the first insects. The funny thing is it to move quite a long tail up and down. I watched the courtship of these birds in the field and they are quite varied. In contrast, yellow wagtails did not know and only in the last few years, I was able to observe quite short. This means that in my area the bird is to be scarce. Yellow Wagtail summer I met with a bicycle ride on asphalt or on the roadside. Here are some pictures of these birds. Just beyond the Urals both of these species are present.
