encounter with a fox

Today, November 1 we went to the lake to traditional plunge into the cool water for a few minutes. Passing nearby meadows in the distance I saw a fox who searched the tall grass. I decided to take pictures despite a considerable distance. Not getting out of the car through the open window I made a few pictures, but the fox saw us and walked away toward the forest.

Autumn on the lake

When does the tourist season ends in the summer, the edges of the lakes are deserted. Birds that have so far hid in the thicket, appear on the lake shore. Waterfowl also approaching the seats occupied by people. Surrounding the lake is still beautiful, but only water and air temperature is quite low. In autumn you can meet only a few fishermen and anglers. Autumn colours of trees add charm. We were pretty eager to visit the lake in the fall. Shortly we like to immerse themselves in the water. After exiting whose a pleasant freshness.

AUTUMN IN THE SUNNY FOREST

For me the forest at any time of the year and almost any kind of weather is a favorite place for rest. Forests are diverse and some like more we found some beautiful sights, smells, birds, animals. Autumn colors of the forest are particularly beautiful just before falling leaves. Just half half of October, the period of colored leaves, which in the last week have will fall. Here are some pictures of the forest located around the village Rubcowo next to the road leading to the lake Mikaszewo.

visit Biebrza marshes

The Biebrza Marshes (Biebrza Valley) are a wetland complex, located on the Biebrza river valley, in Suwałki, Łomża in the northeast of Poland. The area encompasses river channels, lakes, extensive marshes with wooded areas on higher ground and well-preserved peat bogs that occupy around 1,000 km2. The area shows a clear succession of habitats from riverside fen through to raised bogs, grading into wet woodland. Because of this unique succession, the area supports a wide diversity of wildlife with large numbers of birds and mammals. Over 250 species of birds have been recorded including more than 80% of the Polish avifauna. Starting in the early spring mating birds attract birdwatchers from around the world. The marshes in the area are commonly flooded and the resulting alluvial soil supports an array of wetland vegetation. This year we had an exceptionally dry summer and autumn. The water level dropped significantly. Many small streams dried up completely. Biebrza marshes, which have always been waterlogged, now also dried up. Here are some pictures from our trip to the swamp near the village Szuszalewo.

new photos from the trip to Narew river

My new pictures of butterflies and moths from the trip to the river last week. We have very hot weather and drought in nature. It is tiring for us but also heavily suffers from nature. Only after the sunset temperature falls below 30 degrees Celsius. I managed to photograph these insects already, but there is always hope that the new ones will be more interesting and better than the previous. So many factors affect the quality of the image that the next will be more interesting. Here are some pictures below.

MEETING WITH THE FOX

Even though we have the second half of May, it is quite chilly at night and the temperature near the ground reaches below 0 degrees. Yesterday we went on a short trip to a nearby forest after sunset. First we heard an unknown voice calling, and then we saw in the distance a fox, which the sound seemed. I had never before heard such a voice. We watched it for more than 0.5 hours. I made some pictures. It was late and little light. Then he went to the other side of the hill and there I saw a male deer in high crops. We returned again at the previous place, and November is still called. I think that now is the mating season and this is the cry of male or female.
