European greenfinch (Chloris chloris) The common bird is not well known. The best it can be observed in winter and spring during flowering dandelions and immediately afterwards. Greenfinches love dandelion seeds and a lot of them can be seen on the meadow. It stands out green coloration and quite a big beak.The female is modestly embellished. You see it on the third picture. These birds are quite feisty and often fight with each other and other species. After the breeding season gather in large flocks and fly in search of food. Here are some pictures of this bird.
